I'm not a Slytherin as I am a Ravenclaw, even though I have never been sorted into Slytherin, not even once, the Sorting Hat has no traits of Slytherin to seek within me either, however, strangely enough, I'm oddly touched by this. It really shows that Slytherins are not fully evil. Have we ever heard the Sorting Hat speak the word 'evil' or anything related when it spoke about the traits of Slytherin? No, it has never spoke the word 'evil' when whether talking or singing about the Slytherin House. What about Horace Slughorn? Is he evil? Was he ever a follower of Voldemort? No, never. Horace however did tell Riddle about the dangerous things named 'Horcruxes', but don't we all make mistakes? He was so ashamed by what he had done that not even Albus Dumbledore could manage to retrieve the memory of Slughorn doing so. There are so many magical people who were admitted into Slytherin but were not evil; Merlin. Merlin by far was the greatest wizard in the whole of the Wizarding World, was he not? Salazar Slytherin. All Salazar Slytherin wanted was to teach only pure-bloods, he was never evil. Am I wrong? Severus Snape. Severus Snape was once a death eater, a follower of Voldemort, but as soon as he heard about the prophecy and found out what it actually meant he went over to Dumbledore, he confessed he had been eavesdropping but he still wanted to stop Voldemort from killing the Potters, from killing Lily Evans, he felt so much remorse after they all had died that he protected Harry (not in the most visible way) ,he worked for Dumbledore from the start of the very moment he realized Lily was going to be killed to the very moment he himself died. Regulus Black. Regulus Black was a 'fan' since he was young, however after he joined he got, as they say in the books, 'cold feet' and wanted to leave, he took the locket Voldemort had once hidden and placed a fake with a note in the same place, he then, after failing to destroy the Horcrux, handed it over to his *house elf* so that he could destroy it. The death eaters killed him, but did he not want Voldemort to be slain as well? He did. These are some more people who were sorted into Slytherin but were *not* evil. Andromeda Tonks. Narcissa Malfoy. Horace Slughorn.

We all think pretending to be a Gryffindor makes us great, as more of the main characters in Harry Potter have been in Gryffindor, but its not true, its not true at all, Gryffindor is great, but so is the house you are truly in, so are all the other houses. This really shows the real side of Ravenclaw's as its not just 'being smart' no, its just like Dumbledore once said, 'Happiness can be found in even the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light.' I'm proud to be a Ravenclaw, and a true one.
